We have acted on many historic buildings in the city and have always experienced it as an extremely stimulating challenge. We are aware of the responsibility of intervening on an artifact that is the result of multiple constructions carried out over the centuries. The building will continue to make history after us. That is why it is important, in the project phase, to keep the solutions open in order to integrate the findings of the work. The design stays alive throughout the process.

Does it impose much respect to rehabilitating next to the wonderful ‘Catedral del Mar’?

The proximity to such an emblematic work for the city gives even more value to our building and whenever possible we have enhanced the spatial and visual relationship with this magnificent of Catalan Gothic work.
